A better way for a building to begin.

Green Helix Designs grew from a simple conviction: better buildings become possible when structure, enclosure, energy and construction are considered together from the beginning.

The goal is not simply to shrink conventional construction. It is to create complete, desirable buildings that can be constructed off-site, inspected before delivery and transported whole to a prepared property.

Green Helix Designs is being developed by Matthew Lawrence, Founder & Project Lead, through hands-on construction projects in Port Colborne, Ontario.

The farm building provides the first working case for the timber structure, insulated steel-panel enclosure and integrated building systems. The Port Colborne Eco House expands those lessons into residential scale and finish. A purpose-built demonstration unit is planned to bring the complete transportable product together.

Green Helix buildings are being developed in Canada for Canadian conditions, with Canadian-made materials and systems specified wherever practical. The goal is an overwhelmingly Canadian supply chain, using imported components only when a suitable domestic option is not available.

Green Helix Designs is currently gathering interest, exploring project fit and speaking with people who see a place for these buildings in their lives, businesses and communities.
